The redraft of my novel, The Collector of Lost Things.
I always redraft on paper, not on screen. This time, I did two drafts, one in red pen - which I then typed up onto the document - and then the second in blue pen. Sometimes I do a black, green or pencil draft, but at that point it gets thoroughly confusing and can turn you a little crazy.
The handwritten section poking up at the top of this photo is part of a love scene, set in a cabin on a ship above the Arctic circle, in 1845. All that taffeta and silk, it was quite a challenge.
